Stay Curious

Keeping a daily journal is the easiest way to reflect and analyze your own life. Life repeats itself mindlessly – unless you become mindful, it will go on repeating like a wheel. Thus, choice is the only reliable measure of consciousness. Allow the mind to choose for you and you remain unconscious. The mind will always choose the known. The unknown, you must choose yourself.

What is DAYCATCHER and how to get started?

DAYCATCHER is a mindfulness “Tool”, a digital journal, where you capture daily memories, with the help of one picture per day enriched with text summarizing your day. Starting and maintaining a journal can be difficult at first because it is another thing to remember to do, but after a while of keeping a journal, I promise you it’s worth it! Keep doing it every day until it becomes a habit.

How will you benefit from keeping a DAYCATCHER journal?

In one of the daily Catches, Silvia, DAYCATCHER user made me aware of a great article written by Miriam Omar: “A Systematic Approach to Curiosity : The Art of Asking Questions for a Better Life.” Miriam Omar writes about the importance of journaling: “…for example, you keep facing the same problems again and again. You don’t know what you’re doing that leads you down this path. By keeping a journal, you may read about it, read your patterns, analyze your habits, and make a more informed decision the next time you’re about to face the same problem.

Practice curiosity every day

Most times, we are not aware that we are in a vicious cycle, whatever it may be, so journaling helps keep us in check. Curiosity is a trait that can be cultivated by practice. It starts with being aware of your own actions, changing your habits, being open minded about self-discovery, and putting in the initial effort to get the momentum going.”

Start your own daily journal with DAYCATCHER Digital Diary.

Keeping a diary with DAYCATCHER helps to record and process experiences in depth and to record very extensive chains of associations with a date, picture, title and text. When you read your catch later, you remember again how the whole day felt experienced with all senses. But it also leads to the fact that one consciously seeks to enrich the daily routine, the everyday life with new experiences, because just these lead to new positive memories. Even into old age.
