DAYCATCHER was founded in 2017 and went live in November 2018 with the community platform. A Swiss start-up from seasoned professionals for mature adults.
DAYCATCHER is a digital journal (diary) to record what made every given day unique , shared with others or just for yourself.
DAYCATCHER is for mature adults who want to bring more mindfulness into their everyday life, who want to be grateful for the small and big events every day and want to capture them as memories.
The daily entries (catches) in the personal journal make you more aware of the passing of time, enjoy the little things more consciously every day and keep them as a memory for yourself or your family – openly shared with the DAYCATCHER community or just for you.
Set a goal (e.g. 30 days) to spend a short time each day in the evening, to consider what was special today (good, difficult, grateful for, surprising, memorable, achieved goal, tomorrow’s goal etc.). You will see how it changes your view of the small but valuable things every day and make you more satisfied and perhaps also more curious about breaking habits.
Use the voucher DAYCATCHER2019 for a free full trial membership and decide after the first 3 months whether you want to continue as a paying full member or as a free member.

Key Components
Each user journal is the central area for each DAYCATCHER community member where they store their daily catches.
A catch represents a daily journal entry in DAYCATCHER where you must add an image and title and a description. Using personal notes is an additional option.
You can add a personal note to each of your catches. These notes are only ever visible to you and are intended for memories that you want to keep for yourself.
Any DAYCATCHER public community member can choose to create and participate in quests with other community members. Quest participation entails linking one of your daily catches to the quest within the quest open period which can run from 1 day to 7 days in length.
If you have an open journal, you can give up to 5 nuggets per day to other DAYCATCHER community members to let them know that you like their catches. Nuggets are a DAYCATCHER appreciation currency, thus their use is limited to 5 per day.

Usage
Click on the “New Catch” icon on mobile or the “New Catch” button on the desktop to create a new catch. You must upload your picture, select a date, record a title and the text, before you can save the catch to your journal.
You may only use images where you own the rights. Make sure that no persons are recognisable without prior consent. This also includes children.
Catches and personal notes have no restrictions. For comments and answers you have to limit yourself to 256 characters.
For your catch, you can only upload a “landscape format” image. Before uploading a catch, you might need to select the area and the focus – the section that you want to select to be used for the monthly overview. Very large image files will be compressed after uploading.
No, this is not possible. A picture for each Catch is important and required.
You must first join a quest before you can link your catch to it. When creating your catch, you will see all the active quest that you have joined, and you are now free to choose to link your catch to a specific quest. Or you can look at the quest and connect your catch there.
If you have an open journal, you can give up to 5 nuggets per day to other DAYCATCHER community members to let them know that you like their catches. Nuggets are a DAYCATCHER appreciation currency, thus their use is limited to 5 per day.
